No Wood Policy

No Wood Policy

As per the State of Connecticut public advisory regarding the recent and potentially serious threat of the Asian Longhorned Beetles, please note that no campers are permitted to bring wood of any kind into Charlie Brown Campground. As you may have heard, these insects can be devastating to our trees; the environment and the 12,000 plus acres of the beautiful, pristine Natchaug State Park and Forest that surrounds us here at Charlie Brown Campground. We know you share in our concern for the health and future of our trees, and ask that you kindly respect our no-wood policy.

We do have firewood available at the campground that can be used in the fire rings for a fee.  Any wood from sources other than Charlie Brown Campground will not be permitted onto the campground.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and hope that you understand the importance of this matter.

Thank you for your cooperation!
