2009 camping season at Charlie Brown Campground was fantastic - thanks to
you! We enjoyed meeting new campers and seeing our returning friends. My,
how fast the children are growing!

We certainly had a busy, fun-filled year, including our most recent Columbus Day/Halloween weekend event.
The weekend's House of Horrors haunted house was expertly created and masterminded by Rich and Vik LaBonte; and with the help of their friends and some seasonal campers who dressed and performed as a haunting, scary cast of characters; it was an awesome experience for both young and old alike!
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the LaBonte Family and their friends for all of their amazing hard work and helping to make this weekend a huge success!
In addition to the Haunted House, Charlie Brown Campground held its "Great Pumpkin" carving activity, our annual costume contest, and trick-or-treating for the 100-plus children and families we had attend the event! The Columbus/Halloween weekend participation by everyone was fantastic.
Thanks again to everyone for a great 2009 season, and we'll see you in 2010!

Important Advisory: Asian Longhorned Beetle
With the
recent and potentially serious threat of the Asian Longhorned Beetle, and in
a collaborative effort with local and state authorities to stop further
infestation from occurring, it is no longer permitted for any
wood to be brought into Charlie Brown Campground. These insects can be devastating to
our trees; the environment and the 12,000 plus acres of the beautiful,
pristine Natchaug State Park and Forest that surrounds us. They have
already been found in neighboring states. We do have firewood
available at the campground that can be used in the fire rings for a fee.

Join Us on a Hayride in 2010!
We would like to acknowledge and thank the Preston Record family for providing us with the frame for us to build a Hay Wagon, and Chris for building the body and steps of the hay wagon so that it was ready to use for Hay rides on Columbus/Halloween weekend this year! Thank you to all who helped! We look forward to having even more hay rides in 2010.
